i . this blog is heavily canon divergent . my version of le papillon was created entirely from scratch . he is not gabriel agreste . to keep things short , canon hawk moth is too badly written and boring to find remotely interesting lmao . you all need to respect me and my creative work . i'm currently hard at work on an upcoming project for dorian .
ii . selective / private , mutual exclusive , and low activity . if i am not following you back , you are forbidden from any sort of interaction that is in character . i block non mutuals that try and bypass this rule . i manage several other blogs that can be found @ queenedstyle , swordhonor , spotlady , and blueplumes . i can't remain constantly active on any of my blogs . don't pressure me and we're cool .
iii . duplicates of papillon are welcome here , however note that i will not follow / unfollow if i am stolen from , being made to feel like it's a competition , or i notice any hints of insecurity . i busted my ass to create my papillon from absolutely nothing , every little characteristic and whatnot applies to my version of him and him alone . in regards to insecurity , i am not responsible for your own lack of confidence lmfao . grow a damn backbone and deal with it yourself . feeling down on one's portrayal is understandable on a standalone , but if those feelings develop because of me , then i don't know what to say . : /
iv . icons , graphics , banners , etc . are crafted by me or for me . again , don't steal .
v . i practice mains and exclusivity . regarding ladybugs and chat noirs , i take up to three portrayals of each character for mains . this is to better maintain unique plot lines for specific portrayals and whatnot . exclusives in the miraculous fandom are unlikely to happen . i ask that request for either status be mutual otherwise don't bother approaching me for it .

Dorian Arnaud appears well put together from an outside perspective . Conducting music and ballet dancing are his passions . Handsome , charismatic , and compassionate ; perhaps even irresistible when he wants to be . He is an empath , soaking up emotions whether they belong to him or not . He resents such an ability - his blessing and curse ; he'll outright avoid the general public if it means even some short lived solitude to get on track with his true emotions . He enjoys the perks too , those who know Dorian oft thank him for his phenomenal listening ability and insight . Few are aware he is living a double life : the supervillain Le Papillon . With the Butterfly Miraculous found and wielded for his pleasure ; he exploits and manipulates the negative emotions of others , turning them into supervillains tasked with obtaining the Miraculous of creation and destruction . He has a disastrous tendency to fight other people's battles for them even if it's not welcome . One can say Dorian and Le Papillon are not entirely the same : there are notable characteristics present in Dorian and absent in Le Papillon and vice versa alongside those he exhibits with or without the mask .
Renée Cordier is Dorian's significant other and ally . Wielding the Peacock Miraculous as Mayura , she is Le Papillon's superior . I write her @ blueplumes where more information on her can be found !

Hooo boy we are in for a whole fucking mess this season. Just read up on Zoe, and no surprise her and Chloe are half sisters through Audrey Bourgeois .
Ok but seriously there is absolutely no fuckingway they did not take the name from Pilot. Absolutely no way. Jade Turtle is extremely popular - to the point where some people thought it was canon before Carapace was announced. I’m talkin grown adults here, btw. There is no way Thomas or Zag did not know Jade Turtle existed, as active as they are on social media with their fans. For them to use the name now is just fucking low.
Jade Turtle is absolutely a fan character, concept, etc. He is part of the fandom. And, most importantly, he is Pilot’s creation. Ask anyone who’s been here a while - i.e. most of the big names in the fandom - and they can tell you who created Jade Turtle. (Or at the very least direct you to someone who could.)
It is one thing to give us a Miraculous-swap. It’s one thing to give us an aged-up episode.It’s absolfuckinglutely something else to use a Name.
You can try to say that Thomas had this name in mind from the get-go and….maybe. Maybe he did. But I doubt it. Story wise, it doesn’t make sense for an oldass man from East Asia decided to use an English name for his hero form. I was fully expecting him to use a Chinese or Tibetan name. Something that would reflect not only Fu’s origins, but the Chinese roots the Miraculous themselves have.
Fanart and fanworks have always been a gray area for rights and usage but for the most part, creators and fans have enjoyed a mutually beneficial relationship for years. However…to venture into fandom territory and pluck something that is as steeped in the fandom culture that Jade Turtle is…wrong. Hell isn’t that the reason creators aren’t *supposed* to read fanfiction?? So that if ideas in fics pop up later in canon, people can’t claim they stole it?
So, yeah, I’m going as far as to call this stealing. And “innocent until guilty” my ass.
Until Thomas shows proof that’s more than two years old that he intended Fu’s name to be Jade Turtle–and no that is not an unreasonable amount of time when you consider how long season 3 alone has been in production, never mind ML itself and the importance of Fu’s character–he stole it from Pilot. And that is not okay. At all.
There’s actually a simple explanation for why the class is being so mean to Marinette in the newest trailer despite nigh universally adoring her for the past two seasons.
No, seriously, that’s the only explanation.
The writers of this show don’t care about continuity, character, or consistency. Character relationship development can and will be reset at the drop of the hat to create cheap teen drama.
Best friends will turn on each other with no provocation, previous character development will be undone to create more ~tension~ and the plot as we know it will never advance because, frankly, it’s easier to keep churning out these amateur fanfiction plots than it is to create meaningful character driven stories.
Why did Adrien go back to being a salty brat despite gracefully accepting Ladybug’s rejection earlier?
Why does the whole class side with Lila over Marinette despite knowing the latter for only a handful of days?
Why does Chloe ping pong between redemption and increased selfishness depending on the weather/day of the week?
Seriously, if you want good character driven stories involving these characters, Ao3 has a wealth of them. Which is a good thing, because the showrunners have made it clear that they are only interested in creating cheap one-off plots that have no overarching meaning in the scheme of things.
If you think your muse is overdramatic / extra, just remember that Le Papillon / Hawk Moth threw a temper tantrum because his name was mispronounced, among other things.
